Welcome to helloyellow, a friendly wifi-enabled voice messaging app for the Playdate! You can record messages, send them to your friends, and hear their replies. It's a cute, cheerful way to stay connected on your favorite little yellow handheld system.

• Voice Messages
  Record voice messages ("helloyells") and send them to your friends! No need to keep it brief, messages can be up to 10 minutes long!*
   
• Emojis and Reactions
  Each helloyell is sent with an emoji, and you can send a reaction after hearing the message. Plus, unlock emojis and reactions from some of your favorite Playdate games! Over 200 emojis and reactions!*
   
• Achievement Sharing
  Take a look at your friends' achievements and show off your own. Customize which games you share achievements from. Impress your friends!
   
• Group Chats
  Invite up to 7 of your friends to all chat together in a group.* It's party time!
   
• Voice Notes
  Record offline voice notes to yourself. Now you'll never forget that great idea you had at 3:00 AM!
   
• Safety First
  Exchange hellocodes with other people to add them as friends. You can only message people who add you back!
   
• Offline Support
  You can still use the app when your Playdate isn't connected to wifi. Any messages you record will be sent when you get back online!
   
• Optional Email Linking
  You can optionally link your helloyellow account to your email address to make sure it won't be lost if you lose your Playdate's data. But it's not required! (It's still a good idea, though. Read our Privacy Policy if you're worried, it's very short!)
   
• *Free Version
  The free version of helloyellow has all the features of the full version, with just a few limitations:
  • Shorter message limit: Messages in the free version are limited to 2 minutes, instead of 10 minutes in the full version. 
  • Fewer emojis and reactions: The free version has less than half as many. The full version has over 200, so you can really express yourself!
  • Smaller group chats: In the free version, you can only create group chats with 3 people (yourself and 2 friends). You can still be added to bigger group chats, and in the full version, group chats you create can have up to 8 people!
  • If you pay the suggested amount, you can download the full version without any of these limitations! Plus you can feel good about supporting the solo developer behind this app who is paying for the servers himself!
